The VP of Marketing & Demand Creation is responsible for designing a measurable multi-touch demand creation programs that leverage both inbound and outbound tactics that are very different to how our industry goes to market. Responsibilities will include selecting targets, determining the Strategic and tactical mix, designing offers and calls to action, and setting individual program goals and measurement criteria. Additional responsibilities include managing external agencies and internal resources, creating demand creation programs "in a box" for direct and indirect sales, and building/managing shared demand creation processes with inside/field/channel sales. Demonstrated ability to leverage the power of Web technologies in demand creation is essential.

This role works in partnership with multiple disciplines to drive demand, including sales, communications, product/solution marketing and field/regional marketing.

 

Strategic Responsibilities:

Develop and implement differentiated and unique multi-channel, strategic marketing and communication plans to advance company products, broaden awareness, increase interest, leads, conversion and grow market share.

Strengthen, advocate and constantly refresh the Company brand (reputation) as industry leader throughout all departments (writing, reviewing, editing various documents and scripts), including naming, product labeling, tagline, logo, brand standards, segment identification, and market research

Identify and target our client stakeholders throughout value chain

Identify, understand and target key market influencers through inbound and pull marketing techniques

Create demand across value chain through understanding segmentation and emerging markets, while partnering with both our business development team and existing customers, and leveraging existing strategic messaging

Lead communication strategy and coordinate messaging across all communication touch-points to ensure consistent messaging.

Ensure the development of all strategic new product launches and corresponding marketing plans.

 

 

 

Functional Responsibilities:

Create and update collateral material such as catalog, literature, print ads, programs and product flyers.

Develop and execute trade shows and special event strategies, budgets.

Effectively develop and manage annual Marketing Plan including budget, goals, strategies, payback measurements, tactics and timeline.

Manage and coordinate all Public Relations efforts including press releases, article material, interviews and product information.

Oversee development of creative and compelling presentations for internal and external use.

Manage Autocar’s digital media including website, company videos, social media, SEO, etc.

Organize, analyze and track results, effectiveness and ROI

Collaborate with sales team on strategies; development, timing, execution

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a management role with experience in both large and small companies

Comfortable in executing different strategies and market approaches.

Humble and success as a team player.

Ability to think outside the box and learn from success and failures in other industries.

B2B marketing experience, must have Demand creation, pull through marketing experience.

Demonstrated success in implementing multi-channel direct demand creation

Strong presentation and analytical skills.

Superior professional writing, presentation development, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Technologically savvy (CRM, digital marketing, e-commerce, SEO, in-bound marketing, pull marketing)

Expertise in Database management

Experience successfully blending technology with strategy to drive results

Data driven experience

Business development experience

 

Where will you work? The VP of Marketing & Demand Creation will be based at Autocar headquarters in Birmingham, AL. Periodic travel required (trade shows and customer sites).
