Your mission
This position's primary focus is to ensure Autocar meets customer expectations on the all-electric AutoCar Terminal Tractor. The person in this role will play a critical role in inspecting and repairing trucks to ensure customers receive the best in class truck.

Achieve E-ACTT product understanding thoroughly within first 45 days Act quickly and decisively on all customer communications, proactively reaching out to customers vs. reactive Communicate / engage with EVSE suppliers and customers in order to ensure seamless charging capabilities Understand ACTT "White-Glove" treatment thoroughly within first 30 days in order to deliver consistent results Respond to workorders quickly, thoroughly and effectively in order to ensure customer communication flow occurs Through understanding of our Autocar Solutions, Price Cataglog, Advanced Telematics, E-ACTT manuals Warranty and Repair procedures Assist in the medium- and long-term customer service model with recommendations on E-ACTT service partners Maximize costs effective travel by grouping customer visits geographically when applicable Any product enhancements done in the field, please work to have proactive planning that will be best served to the business and customers involved. Assist in the medium and long term customer service model with recommendations on E-ACTT service partners Onsite introductions to ALL E-ACTT customers Introductions to the Autocar Service, Opertations, National Account and E-ACTT team Understanding of where to utilize resources internally when issues arise; ability to work cross-functionallyeactive |
You’ll Demonstrate These Competencies for Success:
- Track, report and follows-up on product and technical issues for dealerships and customers.
- Assist in developing corrective action plans with assigned dealerships and customers to close any service delivery gap s identified.
- Develop strong relationships at all levels of the customer’s organization and maintains customer confidence in the Autocar product.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical service departments to develop and ensure that service performance and quality specifications are met.
- Coordinate cost effective, self-managed travel schedules.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Essential skills/competencies include the following:
- Welding
- Fabrication
- Press brake
- Milling (Bridgeport or similar), w/digital readout, basic CNC controls
- Turning (lathe)
- Fundamental understanding of crane systems; overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, etc

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree, electrical certificate or license, five to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities
The employee must have welding, electrical, plumbing, machining, machine repair and general maintenance knowledge.
