Job Description Overview:     

An Industrial Engineer applies engineering principles and methods to optimize systems and processes. The main goal is to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance within the plant, Industrial engineers analyze and evaluate existing processes and systems within an organization to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, also standardize the best practice as the SOP.    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:     

  • Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
  • Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
  • Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  • Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
  • Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  • Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
  • Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.

Required Qualifications:     

  • Associate Degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering + 5 yrs production working experience or Bachelors Degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering + 3 years production working experience


Work Experience    

  • 3-5 years experience in MS Office
  • Plant design AutoCAD capable and/or other Drafting software.
  • 3-5 years of production machinery, processes, and standards.
  • 3-5 years experience Lean manufacturing

 
     

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • Bilingual in English & Mandarin
  • ISO knowledge
  • APICS certification or knowledge
  • Six Sigma certification or knowledge
     

Working Conditions:     

  • Working in the production factory with exposure to loud noises with ear plugs
  • Bright factory lights and machinery chemicals with safety goggles & gloves
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, assisted if needed
  • Up to 10% travel to domestic customer and international to HQ for product training

$80,000 - $130,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
