Location: Global (Latin America, Africa or Asia preferred)

Summary:  Changemakers has recently upgraded its challenge platform to increase connectivity among our core constituencies and we’re looking for a full time Challenge Platform Manager to drive the development and manage its connections to existing platforms as well as Ashoka’s larger digital strategy. This person will oversee the development of our pilots on the new platform and help evaluate which tools best meet the team’s needs.

The Changemakers Challenge Platform Manager will have very strong project management skills and a passion for using technology for social change. This person will have experience managing platforms, organizing priorities and enjoy coordinating simultaneously with several teams. They will be detail-oriented, while having a strong understanding of our overall goals and vision. They will be working closely with different teams at Ashoka and managing our relationships with our platform providers, while also providing support to our different internal teams.


  • Be the bridge between the Changemakers Challenge and Platform Teams as well as our technology partner WeChangers.
  • Design the roadmap for the Changemakers Challenge platform 
  • Evaluate the best tech solution for Changemakers Challenges 
  • Deliver trainings and provide on-going support to challenge team staff 
  • Assists in the demands and operational needs related to the challenge platform 
  • Act as a point person for technical difficulties pertaining to our different solutions across various teams
  • Plan and project manage the development of our interfaces, including pages for our partnerships
  • Improve the clarity, efficiency and distribution of platform related information across team
  • Develop internal guides and training materials for platform use
  • Prepare and enhance analytic reports about the use of the platform, to support decision making
  • Support team and budget planning for the platform
  • Support team for strategic decisions to create a sustainable roadmap for our platform

Qualifications. Successful candidates will possess most of the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-7 years of professional experience in either of the following areas - digital product management, platform management and/or product development.
  • Product development  
  • Advanced technology management skills 
  • Fluency in English is required 
  • Excellent Project Manager 
  • UX Design experience is a plus 
  • Drupal knowledge is a plus
