Ascent Resources is seeking a Lease Operator, we are open to someone that does not have the exact experience. This position is located in the Cambridge, OH area and will report to the Operations Foreman. The Lease Operator performs daily operational check of assigned wells and production facilities. They will be expected to handle most routine problems independently. The individual will prepare, maintain and submit daily reports and records of daily gas and liquid volume, well pressure, volume of chemicals used, etc.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Understand and follow our Safety Policies, Procedures & Expectations as well as our Best Management Practices
• Lead and operate by the guidelines set forth in our Safety Culture
• Report all incidents / Near Misses / Spills / SWA in a timely manner
• Lease maintenance & operations
• Learn, maintain and optimize various forms of artificial lift
• Monitor well’s daily production and performance
• Understand facility design, functionality and process flow and how to operate the equipment
• Understand LOE and cost impact
• Help commission new facilities when needed and ensure a seamless handover between flow back and production ops
• Winter operations – adjusting daily ops to account for cold weather
o Understanding hydrates and freezes. How to safely remove and mitigate
• Mentoring / Training New Personnel / Contractors
• Consistent daily communication between day and night shifts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to work with computers and electronics
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Able to safely operate a company vehicle daily
• Ability to look overhead and down
• Ability to assemble/disassemble parts with both hands

Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
• Experience working in a mechanical capacity or with heavy equipment
Preferred:
• Previous Oil and Gas related experience
• Technical degree in Oil and Gas Technology or equivalent continued education courses

• Ability to be on feet for extended periods and easily move around piping and other equipment on location
• Tolerance to extreme weather conditions

• Ability to work overtime and callouts as needed
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
