What will you be doing?
 

The role will cover all the major renewable fuels markets in the Americas with major projects including AOM and launching new assessments, analytical writing, mentoring and training, market outreach and back-up market coverage. This role could also provide as-needed support around other markets in the energy transition.

 

In this role, the individual will work closely with the renewable fuels editor and reporters across the Americas, as well as other editorial teams, management, data and production, business development, sales, marketing, consulting and conferences. 

 

 

Skills and Experience

 

Editorial Responsibilities

 

Content and benchmark development

  • Contribute to the Americas strategy for Renewable Fuels and Feedstocks market reporting as part of a wider Energy Transition market reporting strategy
  • Contribute to the introduction of new markets and data sets
  • Develop new assessments, creating methodologies in collaboration with the broader team
  • Drive development and adoption of Argus benchmarks
  • Promote cross-desk collaboration and support efforts to interact with global editorial team
  • Help with training staff
  • Support projects, including the launch of Argus Open Markets

 

Market engagement

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts and liaise regularly with industry stakeholders (producers, consumers, buyers, sellers, traders, brokers)
  • Present on market developments and trends to help industry stakeholders and customers identify emerging opportunities
  • Create webinars, podcasts and white papers in collaboration with marketing

 

Market reporting and analysis

 

  • Maintain and track price, fundamental and economic data to write in-depth market analysis
  • Provide back-up market coverage support as needed
  • Act as a liaison to Consulting, providing market-based insights for subscription and single-client studies as needed.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • A graduate with a strong degree
  • Ability to develop, source and write news to deadline
  • Excellent written, grammatical and numeracy skills
  • Ability to analyse data and write engaging content
  • Excellent communication skills with aptitude to network and build contacts
  • Prior experience of working in the financial, energy, or journalism sector is useful
