Accounts Payable Specialist -This is not a Remote position
ARC is looking for a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to help us continue to provide the best employment experience for employees; and, continued excellent service for our customers.
Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring and executing timely and accurate payments for vendors.
These are the exciting things you get to do:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Great Plains experience a plus
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyzing workflow processes
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Enter invoices into the accounting system
- Review for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment
- Print and obtain signatures on checks
- Process extremely high volume of invoices daily (approximately 300)
- Perform account reconciliations
- Code invoices with appropriate GL Code
- Prepare accruals
- Research vendor disputes and follow up on pending credit memos
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Provide internal and external customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned
**You can expect to work some overtime during critical deadlines – specifically month-end close**
These are what we are looking for:
- High School Degree or equivalent education
- 2-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Microsoft Applications proficiency
- Ability to pay strong attention to details
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and align operations and sales processes to achieve business results
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers
