As we continue to build out Information Technology capabilities, we are seeking an experienced, Manager, IT Business Systems Analyst to work with our Research & Development business function.

The Manager, IT Business Systems Analyst serves as the technology business partner to implement systems and innovative process improvements to promote overall organizational efficiency, effectiveness and cost optimization. The role will be responsible for business systems consulting, business requirements, project planning and management, prioritization and implementation.  Position with work with all levels of the business including business partners, technology and external vendors. Position will focus on business process documentation, business requirements and solutions to meet business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with IT and business to document and streamline processes to align system solutions and automations
  • Document and manage business and technical requirements including current and to be processes with recommendation for streamlining and automating
  • Collaborates with technology team to maintain system performance, system security and compliance requirements
  • Technical SME for all systems and software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects.
  • Provide leadership for work process redesign and performance outcomes measures in targeted processes
  • Designs systems to monitor improvements to ensure performance is sustained and effective
  • Review specifications with stakeholders to assure clarity and consensus on features.
  • Development of business requirements and participate in technical design as a requirements subject matter expert. Address issues raised during development and testing and resolve any defects in the requirements specifications
  • Contribute to best practices. Help evolve the team’s tools & techniques in the areas of enterprise analysis, process streamlining/modeling, business requirements and system specifications
  • Interfaces with external vendors at all levels to manage the relationship and ensure the proper delivery of services
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and system gaps for sales and marketing systems and process
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Registration & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, operations or related disciplines required.

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years in a pharmaceutical or related environment required
  • Experience managing business process mapping efforts (business requirements and documentations) required.
  • Experience working with processes enabled by cloud-based platforms required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of enterprise analysis and business process modeling methods required
  • Experience in GxP Validation and SOX controls required for R&D but not Commercial
  • Experience with SDLC process required
  • Experience with commercial or R&D business functions
  • Passion for rare disease and putting the patients at the forefront of everything you do
  • Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional and cross-geographical team environment
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, managing through ambiguity
  • Familiarity with the following applications preferred; eTMF, CDMS, RIMS, and PV.  Experience with Enterprise applications incl. SharePoint, LucidCharts, Smartsheets.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
