Aparium Hotel Group is looking for General Managers to join our team for future hotel openings in different markets/cities.

Aparium Hotel Group is an owner, developer, and operator of high-quality independent hotels across the United States. The company was founded in 2011 by the former developers of the Elysian Hotel Chicago and their operating partners.

We currently operate and/or own hotels in Milwaukee, WI (Iron Horse Hotel), La Crosse, WI (Charmant Hotel), Covington, KY (Hotel Covington), New Orleans, LA (Pontchartrain Hotel), Memphis, TN (Madison Hotel), Omaha, NE (Hotel Deco XV), and Minneapolis, MN (Hewing Hotel).  We have several hotels under development with locations in Detroit, Michigan; Kansas City, Kansas; Des Moines, Iowa Tampa, Florida and Tempe, Arizona. Our pipeline for potential hotels continues to grow and expand in to underserved cities across the country.

We believe in intuitive service, empowering our associates to deliver unique experiences for guests. The General Manager brings this to life through people, place and character. As the strategic leader of the hotel, the GM is responsible for the guest experience, associate engagement, financial performance, revenue generation and activation of translocal hospitality. The General Manager actively participates in the operation- leading by example and inspecting what he or she expects. We set our standards high- the GM ensures Aparium standards are not compromised by anyone.

  • Leads the hotel team to develop a strategic business plan that defines profitability objectives, operational goals, guest loyalty and satisfaction and associate engagement
  • Reinforces the Intuitive Service Model by coaching and developing teams to high performance
  • Creates a productive and engaging work environment where all associates are valued

  • Responsible for short and long-term profitability of the hotel
  • Develops and monitors annual business and marketing plans
  • Measures the effectiveness of broad-based marketing plans and yield management efforts in order to diversify sources of revenue and maximize the number of market segments needed

  • Ensures all associates follow instincts and use best judgment to create experiences for guests that are thoughtful and authentic
  • Maximizes the guest experience and upholds Aparium standards consistently
  • Utilizes guest feedback to improve service delivery

  • Attracts and selects the most qualified, on-brand talent
  • Develops and coaches associates for future advancement

  • A 4-year college degree preferred

  • Five or more years of experience in hotel management at an executive level
  • Hotel opening experience preferred
  • Knowledge of all hotel functions preferred
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language required
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
