HOUSEKEEPING LEAD

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

Job Requirements:

  • Monitors Housekeeping activities to assure standards are being met
  • Helps to inspect completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met. When standards have been missed, brings to the attention of the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • May release checkout rooms to be sold
  • Assures that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors
  • Checks cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and linen closets
  • Coordinates housekeeping work with related departments to ensure an excellent guest experience
  • All other responsibilities assigned by management

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in a housekeeping-related field
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language required
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of all hotel functions preferred

 

Standards:

  • Able to work alone without direct supervision
  • Demonstrate high degree of drive and determination
  • Constantly recommend service and product improvement to better the operation
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times
  • Attend all required meetings
  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
  • Properly handle and report associate and guest accidents
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service
  • procedures/standards
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel

  • Standard hotel setting
