Position Summary:

In this unique role, the Director of Lifestyle Programming will be responsible for developing and maintaining an innovative and compelling program of events for the hotel guests and the local community with the intention of creating valuable experience while being entertained, inspired, and educated.

The Director of Lifestyle will need to have open availability to work evenings and weekends when needed.  
The position pay rate is $45,000 annually. 


Job Description:


  • Responsible for developing, managing and executing an innovative and compelling program of events for hotel guests and local community
  • Create programs that add value to the experience in line with the assigned hotel(s) style
  • Provide strategic and creative guidance to the team
  • Provide clear goals and expectations to all involve
  • Promote a culture of innovative, out of the box thinking through programming relevant to the assigned market(s)


Job Requirements:

  • Develop, manage and execute innovative event programs that supports revenue generation and product relevancy
  • Develop yearly program of events for the property’s guests and the community
  • Create events that provide valuable experiences while being entertained, inspired and educated
  • Retain relevant knowledge of past, current and future local events and cultural trends to ensure program is innovative, original, entertaining, timely and on brand
  • Create, maintain and build positive relationships with local business partners, sponsors, brands vendors, talent, tastemakers and cultural institutions for event programming and collaborative opportunities
  • Work with sponsorship partners to deliver joint programming and content campaign, in an effort to build the hotel brand, add value and additional revenue.
  • Strategically manage marketing and communications content for Hotel, ensuring social media platforms are optimized, and that special events, promotions and news are compelling and on brand to guests and the local community.
  • Work closely with the Hotel’s Director of F&B and Events to curate unique dining experiences, chef’s table options, pop up dinners, and tastemaker supper clubs.
  • Liaise with the Hotel Operations teams to identify marketing opportunities, create pre-opening buzz, and develop promotions to increase hotel occupancy rates while attracting additional guests of local conferences and events.
  • Utilize the Hotel’s meeting space, (including rooftop if applicable) and unique offerings, while creating programming to increase revenue and add value while building brand awareness.
  • Interface with hotel and restaurant guests to ensure customer satisfaction in an unparalleled atmosphere and environment.
  • Create events in collaboration to include but not limited to: local events, artists, art galleries, local brands, artists, beauty and wellness, local shops, local entrepreneurs, sponsors, musicians, local sports, education institutions, florists, influencers, business owners, media, photographers, non-for profits…
  • Update property calendar on a quarterly and monthly basis
  • Monitor social media and digital engagement for events in collaboration with corporate resources
  • Work with the corporate team and with the properties to ensure messages are within the created guidelines

  • Must possess strong analytical, financial and quantitative skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to work in a very past paced / high stress environment managing multiple projects under thigh deadliness
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all required tasks

  • Superior oral, written and computer skills

  • At least 3 years in a similar role or performing similar work strongly preferred
  • Experience in event planning
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Experience with branding, art and event creation
  • Ability to relate to others, speak in public
  • Excellent management and problem solving skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously



  • Degree or applicable functional expertise
