Aparium Hotel Group is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic part-time Guest Service Representative for our brand new Home2 Suites in La Crosse, WI!  This new H2S has 107 rooms and is located in the heart of Historic Downtown La Crosse and close to shops, restaurants, and area attractions. The property is also adjacent to the La Crosse Center which yields many conventions, concerts, and sporting events throughout the year.

Job Requirements:

  • Understands guest service needs and exceed guest expectations by taking advantage of opportunities to add a special touch
  • Handles guests’ check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel standards in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Responsible for interacting with guests in the lobby, while ensuring the area is neat and tidy
  • Provides recognition to repeat guests
  • Maintains and adheres to hotel policies regarding a cash bank and makes daily deposits with accurate report of receipts daily

 Additional Requirements:

  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • College degree preferable
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a guest services environment
  • Able to work well unsupervised
  • Computer skills necessary

  • Maintain a good working relationship with other associates by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working climate
  • Partake in a positive work ethic and surrounding environment

 Standards:

  • Able to work alone without direct supervision
  • Demonstrate high degree of drive and determination
  • Constantly recommend service and product improvement to better the operation
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times
  • Attend all required meetings
  • Follow proper payroll and uniform procedures
  • Properly handle and report associate and guest accidents
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel

 Work Environment:

  • Standard hotel setting

 Physical Demand:

  • Continuous standing 100% of the shift with the exception of driving
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying required up to 100 lbs. Carts may be pulled up to the length of a full city block
  • Bending/kneeling required 50% of shift
  • Mobile position required 100% of the time
  • Computer use 75% of the time
