Aparium Hotel Group is looking for a Creative Services Director.  We are in search for the ideal candidate to pave the way in this newly created role. The Creative Director is the keeper of the Aparium brand, ensuring that all activities at the Aparium and hotel-level align with our brand vision and positioning. 

We are looking for someone that is highly creative in their leadership style, has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and lead a diverse team, vendors and partners. The ideal candidate has examples of how they have disrupted the norm.

From concept to production for Aparium Hotel Group and its hotels, the Creative Services Director will lead and direct both new and ongoing projects and will be charged with developing strategy and directing Aparium’s preferred social media and creative agency providers.

 Will direct creative agency account managers, writers, videographers, social media account managers as well as keeping creative and social media agencies on course for quality, schedule, and budget.  Responsible for creative and social media execution through external vendors and internal teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Analyze design trends and adjust and implement in accordance with current business needs of Aparium and each of its hotels. 

  • Build and oversee an individual style guide for each hotel and ensure design principles and brand tone is strictly enforced.
  • Inspire and lead agencies to think creatively and seek ways to distinguish Aparium messaging and design.
  • Provide inspiration on a visual level; refine designs; lend a critical eye to all creative, structural and technical output.
  • Work with the Photography team to develop and enhance corporate and product images.
  • Lead event strategy and management
  • Collaborate with Aparium and hotel leadership to ensure unified messaging to design and creative service partners.
  • Manage corporate trade sponsorships and events
  • Ensure that Aparium and its hotels are positively represented in all social channels with immediate and appropriate response if necessary
  • Communicate to Aparium leadership, on an ongoing basis, all activities and progress
  • Provide social media management, analytics and reporting
  • Build and oversee budgets and monitor for compliance
  • Oversee development and ensure adherence to hotels’ style guides
  • Digital aptitude to successfully lead and communicate with digital partners on web site development, digital advertising and overall digital presence of brand and its hotels
  • Available to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all tasks 

  • Commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures as they relate to the position 

  • Able to work with integrity, confidentiality and discretion 

  • Work in a safe, prudent and highly organized manor 

  • Superior verbal, written and communication skills in the English language

 Additional Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Leadership background in social media, creative services and design preferred
  • 10 yr industry experience with a similar role strongly preferred
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the team
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to execute on multiple projects simultaneously with minimum supervision under significant pressure
  • Highly motivated, self-starter. Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision while delivering maximum output
  • Lead regular project status meetings and provide updates as needed or requested
  • Must possess strong analytical, financial and quantitative skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Able to identify and utilize the necessary PPE for each project for self and other staff
  • Able to perform calculations and medium to advance calculations
  • Proficiency in Excel, able to learn software as needed and required
  • Produce accurate, quality work in a very fast work environment while managing multiple projects, tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Able to work on own and as part of a team
  • Travel as necessary up to 50% of the time
  • Excellent leadership & problem solving skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
