House Manager (Part-Time Over-Hire)

The House Manager (Part Time Over Hire) will be responsible for maintaining a structure conducive to providing the best in customer care for theater patrons and visitors. This position is on call and/or as needed. There is no guarantee of hours. Hours will vary depending on Semester show Calendar.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the Lobby and Theater areas prior to and during performances
  • Managing student usher crew
  • Manage Reservation lists and any Box Office needs
  • Filing evening reports at the close of each performance.
  • Directing patrons and assisting other production staff with pre-performance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) or comparable educational or professional experience.
  • Previous collegiate and/or professional experience managing and training.
  • Arts background particularly in Front of House preferred
  • Must be available nights and weekend.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple projects.

Position Information:

  • This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check.
  • The pay range for this position is $20/hour - $21/hour.
