Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified/Board Eligible 

Full Time 

  

Allied Physicians Bayside Pediatrics is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner to join our team! 

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm 

Saturday (2/month): 9:00am – 1:00pm

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Assesses the health status of patients/families by means of a comprehensive health history and physical examination
  • Initiates selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations and laboratory examinations
  • Prescribes/alters medication regimens, interprets finding and alters plan-of-care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols in designated specialty
  • Provides teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses
  • Documents findings and plan-of-care in patient’s medical record
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plan
  • Performs a patient record review with the collaborating physician in a timely fashion
  • Advocates for patients/families and supports patients’ rights
  • Acts as a resource and leader to staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements: 

  • Master of Science Degree from and accredited Nursing Program (MSN)
  • NYS Registered Nurse License
  • NYS Nurse Practitioner License
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible in Advanced Nursing (ANA, ANCC, AANP, PNCB)

  

All Candidates must have: 

  • Current DEA Registration
  • Pediatric Medical Office or Family Medicine experience preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS a plus
  • Experience with EMR systems required; AthenaOne preferred
  • High level of professionalism when performing all duties
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, customer service, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must possess attention to detail and quality focus.

Benefits: 

Compensation: $120,000 – 130,000 ; dependent upon experience  

*You must work a minimum of 30 hours a week to be eligible for benefits
