Summary:

The Head of Audience Development will lead a team of Analysts and Strategists to create and implement growth strategies for AJ+ across all digital platforms. The key responsibility of this role will be to ensure that audience growth is achieved through data-driven organic and paid strategies. The ideal candidate has experience in content distribution strategy, management experience, analyzing trends and data sets, managing budgets, and communicating with senior editorial leadership.

This person will be well versed in the digital media landscape, aware of new and emerging trends in video and social marketing, and able to
adapt quickly to the ever-changing media environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead social audience growth strategy, including identifying opportunities on emerging platforms and best practices to target audiences.
  • Create best practices and models based on data to inform content creation and publication teams.
  • Strategize growth for content performance (i.e. video views, engagement) across AJ+ presence on digital platforms and create partnerships for increased distribution.
  • Find and develop new partners and vendors.
  • Oversee experiments, collaborating with teams across Editorial and Platforms, to help optimize and evaluate new content initiatives.
  • Support Head of Audience Development with yearly budgets, forecasting on a monthly basis based on deliverability of
    campaigns
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Min 5 years in handling social media platforms
  • Proven track record building audiences on third party platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of the media landscape, AJ+'s competitive position among other digital publishers, and familiarity with emerging platforms
