Summary:

Learning Solution Specialist develops multitude of learning solutions to support business objectives and development needs across Al Jazeera Media Network. Specialist supports learning data analysis, learning evaluation, content curation and inventory, promoting learning, and program management of learning solutions. On occasion, Specialist will deliver instruction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops training and learning items, curricula and programs (including instructor-led, online training, blended learning and others)
  • Develops interactive and engaging web based training materials and products using authoring tools such as Articulate, Storyline, Enable Now, etc.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts or other business line stakeholders to develop training/learning solutions (instructor led/video/e-Learning items, programs, curricula, reference/user guides, job aids, work instructions) solutions to support business needs, maintains, and revises content based on changes in business processes and/or needs
  • Determines requirements and quality standards for materials
  • Designs, reviews, and validates course content
  • Develops scripts, content flow and storyboards
  • Preferred experience in designing and developing custom graphics, illustrations and animations that facilitate knowledge retention and transfer
  • Applies instructional strategies according to the anticipated outcomes 
  • Documents each project's instructional, visual and technical design strategy according to the established process
  • Evaluates effectiveness of learning design and recommends new ways to make courses and instructional design more efficient and effective
  • Monitors daily activity and project status to ensure timely and effective delivery of training
  • Partners with Training Delivery to input new and maintain current curriculum information

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in learning solutions/design
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Instructional Design, Design, Education
  • Certification preferred (instructional design, learning and development)
  • Awareness of latest L&D trends, instructional design methods and multimedia, evaluation
  • Experience in developing learning solutions (competency-based learning, soft skills, business skills, technical skills, professional development)
  • Highly proficient in authoring tools (Articulate, Storyline, Enable Now, Adobe Suite)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (advanced skills)
  • Experience with managing projects and third party suppliers when developing/curating content
  • Graphic design and UI/UX experience is a plus
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Effective project management skills
  • Fluency in Arabic is advantageous
