We're on the lookout for a seasoned professional who speaks Arabic and can play a leading role in crafting compelling episodes and driving our oline presence forward.
We are seeking a Senior Producer who is well versed in current affairs programs, as the Senior Producer you will work with a team of Producers in planning and producing episodes for the The Stream taking live shows to air as well as overseeing daily digital content for the show’s online presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of Producers to plan and produce episodes of The Stream, ensuring high-quality content that resonates with our audience.
- Lead the production team, providing guidance and support throughout the creative process.
- Utilise control room experience to oversee recordings and live broadcasts, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to editorial standards.
- Develop rundowns for each episode, maximising the use of video, graphics, and social media elements to enhance storytelling.
- Stay across current affairs and online trends, sourcing stories from social media and other digital platforms.
- Work closely with the Executive Producer to set the editorial and creative direction for the series, ensuring alignment with network objectives and audience interests.
- Oversee special projects and field assignments, coordinating logistics and resources as needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in current affairs programming, with a strong understanding of digital media.
- Proven track record of producing engaging content for television and online platforms.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic Mandatory
- Proficiency in control room operations and the ability to thrive in a live broadcasting environment.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with a keen eye for visual and narrative elements.
- Familiarity with online journalism practices, including sourcing and verifying stories from social media.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
