Position Summary:

Ainsworth is currently looking for a Bilingual Help Desk Technical Support Agent  to join our team in Ottawa

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Help Desk technical support to users either via phone, email or desk side as required
  • Build relationships with customers both in-person and over the phone
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for all types of technical inquiries, service requests, and issues involving computers, network, smartphones/tablets, AV systems, enterprise applications/systems
  • Contribute to team innovation through ideas for process improvement and efficiency
  • Develop, implement, and/or participate in the preparation knowledge base articles and/or documentation for Service Desk use; make recommendations for improvements
  • Document all problems and solutions in the Managed Engines Tracking System

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in a computer-related program or equivalent experience.
  • Recent experience supporting Microsoft Windows computers in a network environment including Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services
  • Recent experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Administration
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing IT service desk practices.
  • Good understanding of networking, anti-virus and system patching.
  • Experience with computer hardware repair.
  • Experience administering service desk platforms.
  • 1-2 years of experience providing service desk support
  • Experience supporting remote clients.
  • Bilingualism in both English and French

Professional Certification

  • ITIL Certification is highly desired
  • Vendor certifications such as Microsoft, VMware or Cisco is considered an asset
