Purpose of the position

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for the creation and submission of gaming shipment application packages and maintenance of effective internal reporting, tracking, and filing systems.  Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, customer service environment, while staying calm under pressure.

Key responsibilities & duties

  • An understanding of regulatory and procedural requirements for gaming-related product shipments, domestically and internationally
  • Responsible for all product shipment notification packages including, but not limited to, completing detailed forms and writing letters, communicating with governmental authorities and seeking required prior approvals
  • Responsible for analyzing each gaming agency’s compliance processes relative to product shipments.  This includes creating, maintaining and organizing AGS’ shipping regulations based upon same; maintain various databases and systems/software; assess shipping notification requests and subsequent approval to ship (ATS) requests against each respective gaming agency’s  policies; issue the ATS for the organization to commence product shipment.
  • Review sales orders with Sales, Production, and Materials Management to ensure that only approved hardware and software are shipped
  • Attend and provide compliance updates at the production and sales order meetings
  • Responsible for gaming products shipments with appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure legal presence and movement of AGS, LLC products
  • Maintain a library of all jurisdictional requirements for shipping notifications
  • Provide accurate reporting of game movement to respective regulatory agencies
  • Serve as a point of contact to coordinate responses to the Compliance Officer should regulatory agencies have inquiries/issues with shipping notifications, or other compliance related matters regarding AGS product shipments
  • Stay current on rules, regulations and legislative requirements of the various gaming jurisdictions as they pertain to submissions requirements
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned

Academic or trade qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience

This position requires registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.

Work experience and skills

  • One year of experience in a similar fast-paced technology environment, preferably in the gaming industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Able to become proficient in ArdentSky and other internal software/system programs
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills
  • Effective and consistent communication methods and interpersonal skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees, and regulatory agencies
  • Work extended hours and/or varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Able to cover "on-call" shifts as needed
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms
  • Able to work under pressure and deadlines
