Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Operations, the Quality Manager supports the deployment of business improvement processes through the implementation of recognized quality management standards, continuous improvement strategies and demonstrated best practices. Designs and manages key metrics that provide data for process measurement, identify root causes of problems, and provde feedback on the results of the quality program. Develops and implements policies, procedures and systems as required to assure product quality, reliability, safety, risk management, and ensure conformance to regulatory requirements.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and take a lead role in promoting and improving quality processes, expectations, and results
  • Regularly collect, analyze, summarize and report process quality information to all levels in the organization.
  • Develop, implement quality policies and procedures
  • Conducts internal audits of the system to identify compliance and opportunities for improvement
  • Conducts timely root cause analysis for non-conforming product to facilitate process improvement
  • Manages customer and technician feedback to drive corrective actions
  • Develop and manage vendor quality scorecard program
  • Develop standards of performance based on process innovation and best-in-class practices
  • Supports the preparation, development, and publishing of CI materials to include detailed standard work process documentation, process maps, and training materials
  • Develop and document procedures to implemement process changes
  • Leads problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes
  • Makes recommendations regarding the enhancement or development of training programs.
  • Assist in the establishment of performance metrics that are linked to overall company objectives

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance and corrective action
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma, or equivalent training and career development in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency of the skills outlined in Job Responsibilities

  • Associate's degree AND at least 3 years of engineering/CI related work experience.
