The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the organization’s network infrastructure. While providing excellent customer service in resolving technical challenges, this position also requires efficient and effective problem solving skills to meet business objectives and SLA's set by the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Configure routers, switches, and other network equipment such as firewalls and server systems
  • Manage network support ticket queue as well as project tasks under committed completion dates
  • Follows IT policies, procedures, and standards in Network Administrator tasks
  • Performs root-cause analysis to resolve issues completely and provide 24/7 availability of network resources to all team members in all locations
  • Manages network security across multiple office environments under the scope of Corporate IT Infrastructure
  • Evaluates and provides recommendations on changes that can be made to network, systems, and processes that are in place to improve the IT services of the organization
  • Maintains documentation for Network Infrastructure and updates as changes are performed
  • Provides technical assistance to the users/staff in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintains composure during high pressure situations and produces consistent quality of work
  • Available during nights and weekends as needed for on-call emergencies as well as scheduled maintenance
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Academic or Trade Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree with experience in a multi-office network infrastructure or the equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Information Systems or other relevant field is preferred
  • Cisco Certification (CCNA Routing & Switching) is preferred

Work Experience and Skills:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a fast paced technology environment preferably in gaming industry
  • Knowledge and experience of best practices in customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter and positive attitude towards challenging situations
  • Experience with Cisco, SonicWALL and other networking appliances
  • Experience with network monitoring and security tools (OpsMgr, WireShark)
  • Experience with VMware virtualized environments and other data center technologies
  • Experience with SAN storage networking and high availability configurations
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
