AGS is a full-service designer and manufacturer of gaming products for the casino floor. The Software Engineer will utilize technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects. This position will also Test, integrate, write, troubleshoot, and debug software applications. This position will also be responsible for critical software components and games; using company standards and applying design principals and patterns to develop robust software.

 Essential Functions 

The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:


  • Utilizes technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects
  • Researches new technologies and incorporates them into our products
  • Takes initiative in leading projects, delegating responsibilities, and collaborating with others
  • Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applications
  • Provides customer support as needed
  • Responsible for the architecture and implementation of critical software components and games
  • Uses company standards and applies design principals and patterns to develop robust software
  • Works closely with other engineers to provide assistance in the areas of software architecture, coding standards, and related issues  
  • Experience with microprocessor based real time embedded systems, video graphics, and serial and network communications protocols.
  • Two or more years of professional experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems
  • Experience with LUA, Unity3D or OpenGL are a plus
  • Experience with software methodologies
  • Gaming experience is a plus.
  • Experience with embedded software/computer/electrical engineering is a plus
  • Experience in Multi-threaded applications
  • Experience with Agile software development practices is a plus 
  • Strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong working knowledge of operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of tools to test software applications
  • Strong working knowledge of development/modeling tools
