Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor directs and oversees activity of production team members, prioritizing and coordinating the flow of the product through manufacturing. Supports the common goal of shipping quality product, while consistently reducing lead time and cost.  Promotes continuous improvement activities through communication, training and development of employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting safety awareness and keeping safety as a number one priority on a daily basis.
  • Assure compliance with company policies, rules and procedures, including quality, health and safety, environmental and compliance regulations.
  • Stimulate and lead continuous improvement initiatives promoting safety, quality and productivity
  • Take a leadership role in Quality including managing, recording & delivering corrective actions
  • Ensure product is manufactured to meet AGS quality standards
  • Participate and promote lean principles/concepts including visual factory, 6S, etc.
  • Train shift associates in proper procedures, coach them to improve results, and evaluate performance
  • Cultivate development of direct reports to acquire skills necessary for advancement in the organization
  • Coach employees on problem solving to encourage independent thought and action
  • Lead team to maximize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide assistance to team members in production activities and overall training in the performance of their assigned tasks
  • Participate in the development of procedures as they relate to the manufacturing process and in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Build buy-in from the team through productive, appropriately targeted and timely messages

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.


  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years work experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • 2+ years in a position of leadership in a production manufacturing environment
  • Electronics assembly experience preferrred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
