The Role:
 
Reporting to the Financial Controller, APAC, the Finance Manager, APAC will be involved in all financial and accounting functions for the region including ongoing analysis and timely reporting on the business. The role involves working closely with other regional and corporate management team members on strategy and policy, as well as assisting in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of budgets, forecasts and actual results. The Finance Manager will identify improvement areas and develop effective accounting and reporting processes along with appropriate internal controls to enhance the organization’s quality, efficiency and overall corporate governance.
 
This is a 6-month maternity leave contract – it may be extended.
 
Duties: 
  • Manage APAC Order-to-cash process. Hands on for SG, MY and APAC NV
  • Manage APAC balance sheet reconciliations in FloQast.
  • SG GST Submission 
  • Work with IDC Team to facilitate PO processing.
  • Work with IDC Team to facilitate payment collection.
  • Ensure timely contract renewal and billing for maintenance and subscription.
  • Manage external and internal audit inquiries. 
  • Work with APAC Controller, sales and operation teams in the preparation monthly forecasts. 
  • Assist with streamlining and improving the Order to Cash process.
  • Refine business processes and policies in operational areas to support organizational goals. 
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage solid working relationships with all external parties including customers, suppliers, bankers, auditors, and government bodies.  
  • Work with US Tax department on international taxes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements for success:
  • Degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications from reputable
    Universities, recognized by ISCA
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and accounting principles 
  • At least 7 years relevant work experience in APAC
  • Working knowledge of statutory requirements across the region, in particular, requirements in China and/or Philippines, will be advantageous. 
  • Problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Proven management experience in leading and collaborating across teams.
  • Meticulous and adept in working under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English including presentation preparation and delivery.
  • Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure established processes are followed. 
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin and/or Cantonese 

Other preferred qualifications:
1. Strong proficiency in MS Office, business intelligence software and ERP systems
(Oracle NetSuite/Salesforce experience a plus)
2. Master’s degree in accountancy and/or Business Administration
3. AICPA/ACCA or equivalent
4. Taxation of APAC
5. Knowledge of import/export and other logistics across APAC
