Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a System Administrator with the ability to obtain a Public Trust located in Washington D.C. Metro Area. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government.   
 Our team practices and ensures a positive Customer Experience to all its end-users and support provided.  The right candidate will exemplify a positive attitude, friendly communications, demonstrate patience, proper business attire, ensure timely response and resolutions, ensure comprehensive documentation to tickets and all work products, meets scheduling commitments and facilitates cross-functional activities as needed to reach a prompt resolution.   
Duties and Responsibilities   
  • Provide daily support to end-users as needed, by supporting assigned tickets within ServiceNow. Exhibits professional behaviors and ensures high customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Engineers, installs, configures, updates, and maintains Microsoft (MS) Windows servers in a large, complex environment
  • Addresses and rectifies server problems, works with Microsoft or other vendors as necessary
  • Maintains and upgrades automated scripts for application products to facilitate operational tasks
  • Coordinates with Project Management, Security, Asset Management, and Service Desk teams as necessary for problem support and resolution
  • Manages and executes various enterprise IT projects from requirements to implementation
  • Tests and deploys software updates and security patches to core infrastructure and servers
  • Provides support and training as needed to Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical colleagues
  • Proactively and effectively communicates with the team, ActioNet managers, and Government POCs, both verbally and in written correspondence
  • Monitors the ticket queue, assigns and works tickets, verifies ticket completion and adheres to SLA targets.
  • Exhibits great customer service skills, both oral and written, at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:   
  • Knowledge and skills with one or more of the following: MS Clustering, Citrix/Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory Certificate Services, VMware, SAN Provisioning, NIST/CIS Security Benchmarks, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Experience with Google G-Suite, Google Hangouts
  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification
  • MCSA: Sever 2008 or 2012 certification
  • Solarwinds experience is a plus
  • Any certification related to MS SCCM (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager)

Requirements: Public Trust clearance will be required to start, sponsorship available.
