Information Security Analyst

Absolute is looking for a Information Security Analyst to join our Security, Risk, and Compliance Team. This position serves as a contributor in the development of Absolute’s security and privacy compliance programs. We are looking for someone who is highly productive, self-motivated and can align security efforts and risk mitigation strategies with business objectives and our corporate culture!
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring of various log sources to determine trends and/or anomalies that may give rise to security events or incidents.
- Participate in investigations into problematic activity.
- Tuning systems to reduce false positive rates improve information value.
- Assist, perform and guide in diagnosing and analyzing security related issues, including all aspects of the risk, patch, vulnerability, change, and incident management life cycles.
- Participate in maintaining accurate and up to date policies, standards, processes, and operating procedures.
- Works closely and collaboratively with Information Technology, Business Applications, Engineering and Cloud Operations teams to enable awareness and implementation of best practices in security and privacy
- Preparing and responding to information security and privacy events and incidents.
- Participate in Security, Privacy and Risk awareness program
Qualifications and Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred security certifications: Security+, CISSP, or SANS GIAC (bonus: AWS Certified Security – Specialty or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the field of security in security operations (blue team) or network/system security deployment and implementation.
- Experience in applying security to cloud technologies (managing secrets, Securing CD pipeline, Container Security)
- Knowledge and experience of cloud infrastructure security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge working with various security and audit frameworks (ISO/IEC 2700x, NIST CSF, COBIT, OWASP, SOC 2, NIST 800-53)
