POSITION: CATERING LEAD (Cibecue, Arizona)

CLASSIFICATION CODE: NON-EXEMPT FULL TIME

DEPARTMENT: LIVING WITH PURPOSE

REPORTS TO: LIVING WITH PURPOSE CATERING SITE SUPERVISOR

 

STATEMENT OF JOB: The Catering Lead is responsible for providing Catering Support for agency sponsored events, on and off of the ABHS campus in a safe, clean, healthy working environmentThe Catering Lead for the Living With Purpose program assists with provision employment support services, including oversight, guidance, transportation and other related services to support client independence and retention. The Catering Lead assists with supervision of Living With Purpose catering projects, transports clients and supports the overall management of Living With Purpose staff engagement ensuring the highest quality of completed catering projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to provide food catering services for Apache Behavioral Health Services and to be moderately physically healthy and be able to stay on his/her feet for hours each day as well as bend, climb, lift and move objects.

  1. Provide employment support services to increase occupation skills development and workforce retention.
  2. Transport clients to appropriate services and catering project sites as needed.
  3. In collaboration with the Catering Site Supervisor, provide individualized occupational support guidance on such topics as time management, teamwork, goal setting, work ethic and professional behavior. 
  4. Work with Living With Purpose Site Supervisors, Case Managers, Clinicians and Program Manager to assist with the coordination, scheduling, outreach, and promotion of the Living With Purpose catering project offerings.
  5. Provide assistance to oversight of catering project sites to monitor attendance, ensure a physically and emotionally safe work environment and timely project completion.
  6. Assist with maintenance of inventory of supplies and equipment. Assist with submission of requests for order or purchase of necessary supplies or equipment to Program Manager.
  7. Responsible for cleaning, as associated with maintenance and upkeep of kitchen/catering area, to include disposal of garbage properly.
  8. Clean and sanitize kitchen area.
  9. Maintain accurate records, develop reports and documents as requested.  
  10. Abide by all applicable policies, procedures, and program standards of ABHS, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Indian Health Services, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and other pertinent regulatory authorities.
  11. Maintain ethical policies and guidelines as outlined in accepted State ethics laws, rules, policies and principles and as outlined in discipline-specific code of ethics.
  12. Provide a positive role model to staff through leadership, self-discipline, and genuine care for the treatment and recovery of clients. All staff members must be treated with dignity and respect.
  13. Participation in all required ABHS training.
  14. Reports/attends work in timely manner. Must be reliable and communicate directly with supervisor in all matters of attendance.
  15. Other duties as assigned.  

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 18 years old and possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors.
  3. Possession of Food Handlers Card.
  4. Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  5. Ability to pass all pre-employment testing, including, but not limited to, fingerprint clearance, drug testing and background check.

 

Preferred:

  1. At least 1 year experience working with Native Americans.
