The Finance Operations Clerk is an individual contributor based in Chennai, India responsible for executing day-to-day accounting operations in Chennai as directed by the Finance Operations Controller.  Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing the following:

  • Review transaction processes for non-Oracle international entities and develop business requirements by business process for Oracle implementation
  • Complete and document user acceptance testing
  • Upload opening balances from 3rd party applications and document reconciliation

Monthly financial statement close process

  • Monthly sub ledger close
  • Recording intercompany transactions
  • Creating accounting journal entries
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performing analytical review of entity general ledger accounts

Statutory reporting

  • Assist with the preparation of local VAT returns

Prepare financial reports required for filing statutory accounts

Global procure to pay

  • Setup and maintain suppliers in Oracle
  • Purchase requisition and purchase order processing
  • Supplier invoice review, 3-way match and transacting in Oracle
  • Supplier payment initiation
  • Employee expense reimbursement review and processing
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting

Global quote to cash

  • Maintain customer master records, including customer credit
  • Facilitate sales quotes review and approval
  • Process orders in Oracle, generate customer invoices upon fulfillment
  • Cash receipts posting and application
