As a Professional Services Engineer, you will perform network design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting of issues relevant to A10 solutions. The PS Engineer will function as the A10 Networks products Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will interact directly with the customer's personnel.  Additionally, you will directly interact with customers and other functional groups within A10 Networks to troubleshoot, identify and resolve product, configuration or network related issues. You will capture and document details and events in the CRM application throughout the solution discovery process.

Primary responsibilities

Perform network design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting of issues relevant to A10 solutions

Provide technical consultations and presentations as needed

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Will be responsible for effective communication with all stakeholders.

Ensure A10 products are designed, configured and deployed to meet customers’ expectations

Use traffic generators such as Spirent and Ixia for testing during pre-deployment phase.

Drive complex deployments while working side by side with the customers to solve their unique problems across a variety of use cases

Use tools such as Wireshark to analyze networking protocols like TCP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP, DNS, IPSec, PKI, OSPF etc. to successfully complete configuration, execution and troubleshooting of deployment jobs

Leverage previous experiences, share best practices and create innovative solutions to push user adoption and maximize the value of A10

Secondary Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, resolve and document customer reported network issues via phone and/or e-mail

Provide configuration recommendation and assistance in customer service deployment

Recreate reported issues in lab with customer’s configuration and topology

Perform patch qualification related tasks

Ensure customer’s reported issues are resolved to the client's satisfaction in a timely manner.

Required Experience

2+ years’ experience in Network / System Engineering/TAC.

Advanced networking skills including strong understanding of the protocols surrounding IP service provider networks and TCP/IP fundamentals 

Good understanding of network technologies such as application delivery controllers (ADCs), firewalls and switching and routing

Experience of routing protocol operation (OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP)

Basic knowledge of VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (L2TP, MPLS)

BS/MS in a technical field

Other Requirements

This job involves traveling to client sites.
