Who We Need:

A motivated technical writer to support the design and develop software tools and solutions for our ServiceNow IT services platform. You must have high-energy work ethic and be able to take documentation assignments and independently drive them to successful completion. 


What You’ll Spend Most of Your Time Doing

  • After your initial onboarding and acclimation to the team, you will work with a team of highly skilled software developers responsible for delivering customized solutions for federal and commercial clients.
  • You will work to develop core functionality for existing systems, create and execute tests, and assist with deployment of new software to the user community. 
  • Work prioritized tasks from implementation through test and deployment during each two-week Agile Sprint period 
  • Collaborate with other software developers, operations staff, supervisors, and clients 
  • Provide team leads with technical and schedule input to ensure development activities proceed as needed 


As a Technical Writer/ServiceNow Analyst you will:

  • Write and maintain requirements and project documentation using common tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others.  
  • Assist project team members in documenting requirements gathered from interviews, analysis, automated tools output, requirements workshops, storyboards, use cases, and task/workflow analysis. 
  • Under guidance of systems engineers, document technical specifications, workflows, and utilization, capacity, and sizing models for on premise and cloud services. 
  • Communicate with vendors and industry partners to document product specifications, capabilities, security requirements, and other information needed to support projects.    
  • Support project managers with project control activities such as status reports and meeting minutes. 


Are You:

  • Someone a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ year’s professional experience
  • Possessed of excellent writing and communication skills in business and technical areas, with the ability to develop working partnerships with business customers and technical teams? 
  • Experienced writing system requirements documentation, Visio process diagrams, and general technical writing?
  • Experienced documenting customer business needs and gathering and prioritizing business requirements for IT projects? 
  • Knowledgeable of the fundamentals of iterative development, Agile/Scrum Processes and methodologies, and software development processes and procedures? 
  • Experienced working with integrated development teams?
  • Experience with writing test plans, user manuals, and other customer support technical documents. 
  • Someone with excellent oral and written communication skills?
  • A US Citizen who can obtain and maintain a public trust clearance?
  • It would be also be great if you:
    • Are familiar with the ServiceNow platform
    • Have Knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodologies and processes 
    • Are familiar with design and development of web services 
    • Are familiar with relational databases, database design, and data modeling

The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
